Cell Phone as Modem

My Cell Phone is single handedly responsible for my Web Experience. I received a cable connection with my first cell phone, and lo and behold, it opened up a NEW WORLD on my computer for me. I did not enjoy the small screen for internet related searches on my mobile, but by linking to my desktop computer, I had access to internet - the way I like it! At this stage, I have stopped using my cell phone as a phone, because I get everything I need and want, the way I enjoy it, by using it as a modem. I have also found that a cell phone contract is more expensive when working with data bundles for internet activity. A cheap pre-paid sim card gives me the freedom to purchase data freely as I need it, without any restrictions. Without mentioning specific service providers, in South Africa, I have experience of only two providers, of which ONE of them is BAD NEWS. The reason being, that should your data be used before 30 days after initial purchase thereof, you cannot purchase any more data until the 30 days expires on that specific sim card. The other cell phone company I am currently using however, does not curb their own income or your internet access in this way. Your data will last a MAXIMUM or 30 days, BUT you can purchase more data if your data bundle is finished BEFORE the 30 days. I know of many people with computers and cell phones, who are NOT AWARE that they could be using the internet more often and more effectively BY APPLYING THEIR CELL PHONES AS A MODEM. I trust that a few people will learn from this, and start to enjoy the other benefits their cell phones can give them. Have Fun Surfing!
